About White House

The White House is the official residence and principal workplace of the President of the United States.Located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, D.C., the house was designed by Irish-born James Hoban and built between 1792 and 1800 of white-painted Aquia sandstone in the Neoclassical style.Today, the White House Complex includes the Executive Residence, West Wing, Cabinet Room, Roosevelt Room, East Wing, and the Old Executive Office Building,which houses the executive offices of the President and Vice President.

About Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in New York Harbor, designed by Frédéric Bartholdi and dedicated on October 28, 1886. The statue, a gift to the United States from the people of France,The statue has become an iconic symbol of freedom and of the United States




Location and visiting

The statue is situated in Upper New York Bay on Liberty Island, south of Ellis Island. Both islands were ceded by New York to the federal government in 1800.[135] As agreed in an 1834 compact between New York and New Jersey that set the state border at the bay's midpoint.

About George Washington
